Follow the flow of your life Lechradweg

On three stages of life and in five stages, the Lechradweg leads through landscapes that could not be more different. On its banks, you can see how it has shaped nature and created the most diverse habitats.

The partly paved, partly gravelled Lechradweg (not to be confused with the Lechweg) leads upstream for about 244 km from Marxheim in Germany, through the nature park region of Reutte to Steeg. Along the way, you can not only explore the unique wild river landscape along the Lech, there are also many sights that are easily accessible from the bike path.

Note: The stages can of course also be cycled individually as well as downstream!

Through the Reutte Nature Park Region Stage 4

The gateway to Tyrol, coming from Germany, is also the start to the nature park region Reutte.

Don't miss biking over the Lech bridge beforehand and visiting the Lech Falls and the Forest Adventure Center. There you can learn a lot about the wild river as the master builder of this unique river landscape. Through sparse floodplain forests and directly along the gravel bed of the Lech, the path leads to Tyrol. Over the historic Lech bridge it goes through Musau. In the district of Brandstatt the road is crossed. Past the bear trap you cycle along meadow and forest paths in the direction of Oberletzen to the legendary Sankt Mang Sessele. In Hinterbichl, the route goes onto the Lech dam with a beautiful view of Reutte all the way to the Ehrenberg castle world. After that the route runs sometimes more sometimes less along the Lech to Höfen. After the airfield on the Lechdamm through floodplain forests and past one of the widest spreads of the Lech to Weißenbach ride, the destination of this stage.

Combination of bus and bike - Line 110 Bike bus with trailer

Leisure cyclists, families and all those who prefer a more relaxed ride can use the number 110 cycle bus, which runs three times a day* from Reutte to Steeg and vice versa. This bus has a special bike trailer that can transport 38 bikes - including e-bikes. It is not necessary to book the bike bus (except for groups).

All other buses on route 110 have bike racks at the rear for five bikes.
